A day on the trails

Most of my riding is on paved surfaces, either city streets or bike trails.  Today however I got a chance to do some mountain biking.  I got out on the trails with my slightly-to-big-for-me Trek 4500.  Despite the fact it was a bit over sized (21″ frame, I normally ride a 19″) it handled pretty well and I did much better than I have in the past.  The winding technical parts I took slowly, but handled well.  I even took on a really steep downhill which to be honest scared the crap out of me looking at it.  The best  was probably a wide and very long downhill part with plenty of opportunities for jumps, I managed to catch some decent air.

I plan to get a MTB which is a better fit at some point in the future, I love offroading!
