Bike Maintenance Checklist

Many items on bikes can degrade very slowly over time and are therefore hardly noticeable. Brakes are a prime culprit here. After several hundred miles they can fade to the point where they are not even safe, but it happens so slowly you may not even realize how bad it is.
Other items such as frame cracks and breaking chains can occur suddenly and are potentially dangerous. Inspecting these items to prevent breakage could really save your bacon.
